Harda (MP), Jan 25 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Congress president Kamal Nath on Wednesday took a dig at state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, terming him as a "speech and announcement-making machine".
Addressing a rally at Sirali in Harda district of the state, Nath also accused Chouhan of speaking lies.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has ruined the state, unemployed youths and farmers, Nath alleged.
"Shivraj ji is a 'ghoshna' (announcement) machine...Not only a machine that makes announcements, but he also speaks a lot. He is also a machine that gives 'bhashan' (speech) and speaks lies," the former chief minister said.
He said that although the BJP ruled the state for 18 years, its leaders are not telling what they have done during this period.
"Now, they are taking out a Vikas Yatra. It is not a Vikas Yatra, but a Nikas (exit) Yatra," he said.
India is a very diverse country, but its culture that teaches everyone to unite, is being weakened and society is being divided on the basis of religion, the state Congress chief added.
He urged people to vote in the coming elections for unity and to save the Constitution.
Talking to the reporters earlier, Nath said that Chouhan questioned him over implementation of the Congress's manifesto.
"I would have fulfilled the promises made in the manifesto had I got the entire five-year tenure (as a CM). But I got only 11 months. CM Chouhan is not giving the account of 18 years of his rule," he said.
Nath said his government waived farm loans of 27 lakh farmers. PTI ADU NP NP NP
