Kiccha Sudeep will campaign for BJP in Karnataka elections: CM Bommai

New Delhi: Karnataka chief minister Basavraj Bommai Wednesday announced that popular actor Kiccha Sudeep will campaign for BJP in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.

Sudeep will be among the star campaigners for the party.

Karnataka will vote on May 10 and the counting of votes will take place on May 13.

The Bommai government had last year appointed the Kannada super star as the brand ambassador for its 'Punyakoti Dattu Yojana', cattle adoption scheme.

However, Sudeep did not to charge for being the ambassador of the scheme, which was aimed at encouraging adoption by public for the purpose of rearing cattle in 'goshalas' (cow shelters).

Sudeep is known for his remarkable role in films such as 'Pailwan', 'Eega (Makkhi)', 'Vikrant Rona', 'Sparsha', 'Huchcha' and 'No 73 Shanthi Nivasa'.
