Maharashtra chief secretary Rajesh Kumar given three-month extension

Mumbai, Aug 29 (PTI) The Maharashtra government has extended the tenure of Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, who was due to retire on August 31, by three months.

The order to this effect was issued on Thursday.

It said Kumar will now serve on the post till November 30 this year.

The 1988 batch Indian Administrative Service officer became the chief secretary on June 30, replacing Sujata Saunik, who was the state's first woman chief secretary. PTI MR BNM
