Mumbai, Jul 10 (PTI) Maharashtra reported ten new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, taking the total of those who tested positive for the viral infection this year to 2,613, the state public health department said.
No death of a COVID-19 patient has been reported since Saturday.
Five new cases were found in Mumbai, two in Pune Municipal Corporation limits and three in Nagpur city, an official statement said.
The health department has conducted 35,024 COVID-19 tests in the state since January 1.
While 2,524 patients recovered, 41 patients have died so far this year, the statement said, adding that 40 of them were suffering with comorbidities and one was suffering from another disease.
Mumbai has reported 1,035 cases, including 551 in June and 43 in July so far this year. PTI SM KRK
