Man drowns in drain while fishing in UP's Amethi

Amethi (UP), Aug 15 (PTI) A 28-year-old man drowned in a drain while fishing at a village in Amethi district on Friday, police said.

Vinod Kumar, a resident of Sardar Ganj village, had gone fishing in the drain when he drowned due to high water levels, they said.

Mohan Ganj SHO Rakesh Kumar said the body has been fished out of the drain and sent for post-mortem.

Necessary legal proceedings are being initiated, he said. PTI COR KIS APL ARI
