Man drowns in pond in UP's Amethi

Amethi (UP), Sep 26 (PTI) A 30-year-old man drowned while bathing in a pond in Jhamdas Kuti area of Amethi district on Friday, police said.

The body of the deceased Jaylal, a resident of Gosain Dakhinwara village, was later pulled out with the help of locals.

Station House Officer Vinod Kumar Singh said the body has been sent for postmortem, and further legal proceedings are underway. PTI COR KIS SMV SMV DV DV
