The court also listed Sisodia's bail plea for hearing on March 10 and asked CBI to file a reply.

CBI's plea was opposed by Sisodia's lawyer who said the inefficiency of the agency to complete its probe cannot be a ground for remand and he cannot be asked to incriminate himself.

“If your preposition is that remand was not required, then you should have challenged the remand order before High Court. That you haven't done,” the special judge M K Nagpal told Sisodia's counsel opposing CBI's remand application.

On Tuesday, Supreme Court refused to entertain Sisodia's bail application asking him to seek alternative remedies which are High Court, after which Sisodia and his cabinet colleague Satyendar Jain resigned from Arvind Kejriwal's cabinet.

The CBI on Saturday produced Sisodia, arrested in the alleged liquor scam, in the Rouse Avenue court on the expiry of his five-day CBI custody granted on Monday.

The supporters of the Aam Aadmi Party staged a protest outside the premises and raised slogans.

The CBI on Sunday evening arrested Sisodia in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped liquor policy for 2021-22.
