Minor girl missing from shelter home in Saharanpur, facility's superintendent alleges kidnapping

Saharanpur (UP), Jun 24 (PTI) A 17-year-old girl from a shelter home in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur went missing with the superintendent of the facility alleging that she was kidnapped, police said on Tuesday.

The superintendent filed a missing person's report at Janakpuri police station stating that the girl had gone missing from the facility in Pushpanjali Vihar on Monday, they said.

Based on the report, the superintendent has requested a case be registered under kidnapping charges against an unidentified person, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain said.

Jain said that the police have registered the case and CCTV footage of the area is being reviewed for leads. PTI COR CDN OZ OZ OZ
