Panna (MP), Jan 28 (PTI) The bodies of a trader and his wife were found with gunshot wounds in their home in Madhya Pradesh's Panna city on Saturday, an official said.
It is suspected that the man, identified as Sanjay Seth, took his own life after killing his wife, said police sources.
Panna Superintendent of Police Dharmaraj Meena said they were informed between 2 pm and 3 pm that the trader, whose family deals in diamonds and clothes, and his wife had died due to gunshots.
Prima facie, the trigger seems to be family related but a detailed investigation from all angles is underway, the SP said and added that the dog squad and a forensic team have been pressed into action.
Meena said other family members also live in the same house, located under the limits of the Kotwali police station, and that the couple was in a room at the time.
“So far, no outside intervention in the room has been found,” said the SP, adding that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
