Bhopal, Jun 25 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday spoke to Manisha Bhatnagar, a senior crew member of Qatar Airways, on her safe return to Ujjain from Qatar, where she was stranded as a result of Iran-Israel conflict.

Following escalating tension in the Middle East, especially after Iran launched missiles against a US airbase in Qatar, some countries in the region shut their airspaces, which resulted in numerous flight diversions and cancellations, including by Indian carriers.

After returning to Ujjain, Bhatnagar thanked the Centre and the state government for their cooperation.

CM Yadav made a video call to Bhatnagar and enquired about her well-being. He also asked her about her work profile in Qatar Airways, an official said.

Yadav had sought Union Home Minister Amit Shah's cooperation in ensuring her safe return to the state, and instructed the officials concerned to follow up the matter with the Centre, the official added.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government was ready to provide every possible help to the sisters and daughters, the CM said.

Bhatnagar thanked Yadav for extending the government's full support in ensuring her safe return from Qatar.

"In the moments of crisis, there was full confidence that the government of the country and the state is taking care of us and we will definitely return home safely," she told the CM during their interaction. PTI MAS NP
