Murmu consistently set highest standards throughout her journey in public service: Dhankhar

New Delhi: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar greeted President Droupadi Murmu on her 67th birthday on Friday, saying she has consistently set the highest standards throughout her journey in public service.

Dhankhar had called on Murmu on Thursday evening to greet her on the eve of her birthday. The president is on a three-day tour of Uttarakhand.

"Heartfelt birthday wishes to the Hon'ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji. Her extraordinary journey from humble beginnings to the highest constitutional office, epitomising modesty, simplicity and sublimity, reflects the true spirit of our democracy," the vice president posted on X.

Dhankhar said she has consistently set the highest standards throughout her journey in public service, as an MLA, governor and now as the president of the largest democracy -- a legacy worth emulation.

"May this birthday bring her abundant health, happiness and joy, and may the Almighty bless her with continued strength to serve our nation," the vice president said.
