Bhopal, Jul 6 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday paid floral tributes to Syama Prasad Mookerjee at his life-size statue in Arera Colony here on the Jana Sangh founder's 125th birth anniversary.

Mookerjee was a true patriot and vocal proponent of cultural nationalism, Yadav said.

"He was not just a politician but a visionary leader whose life reflected a deep commitment to the nation, self-sacrifice, and public service. His slogan 'Ek desh mein do Vidhan, do Pradhan aur do Nishan nahi chalenge' ('There cannot be two Constitutions, two prime ministers, and two flags in one country) laid the strong foundation of India's unity," Yadav said.

"Mookerjee's ideas remain relevant for building a stronger, more inclusive, and self-reliant India. His thoughts and values must be embraced for national progress. The country will forever remain indebted to him," the CM added.

Among those present at the function were state minister Vishvas Sarang, Khajuraho MP Vishnu Dutt Sharma as well as legislators Rameshwar Sharma and Bhagwan Das Sabnani. PTI LAL BNM
