Poachers kill leopard, remove claws

Thane, Feb 26 (PTI) A leopard was found killed with its claws removed in Washala forest range of Shahapur taluka, officials said on Thursday.

The carcass was found in a dry nullah within Susarwadi village limits on Tuesday, said a veterinary officer.

The animal was apparently killed elsewhere and dumped in the nullah, he said.

The exact cause of death will be confirmed following the final autopsy report, the official said. PTI COR KRK
