New Delhi: The national capital is likely to witness rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department predicted.
The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 26.7 degrees Celsius, 0.2 notch below normal for this time of the year. The relative humidity hovered around 97 per cent at 8.30 am, the weather department said.
The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 35 degrees Celsius, it added.
Meanwhile, the air quality remained in the "satisfactory" category with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 90, as per the Central Pollution Control Board's (CPCB) 9 am bulletin.
According to the CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor', and 401 to 500 'severe'.
