New Delhi: India Meteorological Department (IMD) Sunday predicted that rains in the Northwestern part of the country beginning Tuesday, May 23, would bring some relief from the heat wave conditions.

Northwestern India is reeling under heatwave conditions for the last two days with maximum temperatures breaching 46-degrees-Censius mark.
IMD also issued a heat wave warning for Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas for Monday.
Met officials said a fresh western disturbance could bring relief from the hot weather conditions in Delhi from May 24 with light rain and cloudy weather expected for three to four days.
