Mumbai, Nov 30 (PTI) Senior IAS officer Rajesh Aggarwal on Sunday assumed charge as the new Chief Secretary of Maharashtra.
He succeeded Rajesh Kumar, who had been serving as the top bureaucrat in Maharashtra since 2024.
Kumar handed over the charge to Aggarwal earlier in the day, according to an official statement.
A 1989-batch IAS officer, Agarwal has held several key administrative positions at the Centre and Maharashtra. He will serve as CS for a year. PTI MR NSK
