Rusted mortar shell recovered along LoC in Poonch

Mendhar/Jammu, Nov 13 (PTI) A rusted mortar shell was found in a forward village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Thursday, officials said.

The mortar shell was noticed by some people in an open area at Balakote in the Mendhar sector, the officials said.

They said the bomb disposal squad was summoned, and the explosive device was safely defused without causing any harm. PTI COR/AB AB DV DV
