Set to retire on Jun 30, Gujarat DGP Sahay gets 6-month extension

Ahmedabad, Jun 30 (PTI) Gujarat Director General of Police Vikas Sahay, who was set to retire on Monday, was given a 6-month extension by the state government.

Sahay will now serve as the DGP till December 31 this year, a state Home department notification informed, adding the move has been approved by the Union home ministry.

Sahay, an Indian Police Service officer of the 1989 batch, became state DGP in March 2023. PTI PJT BNM
