Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will meet President Droupadi Murmu and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Tuesday.
"Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is on a visit to Delhi, will meet the President at 11.20 am and the Union Finance Minister at 4.50 pm today," his office said in a statement.
Siddaramaiah on Monday had said he is meeting the President to discuss the bills that are pending for approval.
Speaking to reporters in Raichur, he had said that he had also sought for appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Finance Minister to discuss regarding the additional memorandum he had submitted to the 16th Finance Commission recently.
Among the bills that are pending before the President include the 'Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements (Amendment) Bill, 2025, reserving 4 percent of contracts in (civil) works valued up to Rs 2 crore, and goods/services contracts up to Rs 1 crore for Muslims.
