SUV plunges into river in Himachal, two dead

Shimla, Jul 13 (PTI) An SUV skidded off the road and plunged into the Shalvi river in Shimal district, leaving two people dead and a 10-year-old boy missing, police said on Sunday.

Two people were also injured in the accident that took place on Saturday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Gurmel Lal, a resident of Nawanshahr district in Punjab, and Kumar Suchi of Nerwa.

The injured have been identified as Keshav Kumar and Balvinder, both from Nawanshahr. Balwinder's son was swept away by the strong river current and is still missing.

The team rescued the injured to the Civil Hospital in Nerwa.
