New Delhi: AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Monday went to the Civil Lines police station and alleged that a member of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's personal staff misbehaved with her, police officials said.

Police has not yet received a formal complaint.

"One PCR call at 9:34 AM has been recieved at PS Civil Lines from a lady saying she has been assaulted at CM House. After some time, MP Madam came to PS Civil Lines, however, she left stating she will give complaint later," said DCP (North) Manoj Meena.

Maliwal also made PCR calls after the alleged verbal spat, officials said. The two calls were made at 10 am, they said. A team from the Civil Lines police station reached the chief minister's residence after that.

According to the daily diary maintained by PCR, Maliwal said that Arvind Kejriwal’s close aide Bibhav Kumar assaulted her on the directions of the Chief Minister.

There was no immediate reaction from either the chief minister's residence or from Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party.

Last month, Kumar was sacked by the Delhi Vigilance Department from the position of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary, citing “illegal appointment.”

Kumar was sacked in connection to a 2007 case against him for ‘assault and use of criminal force to obstruct a public servant from doing his duty’.

In February, Kumar was also summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.
