Thane police recover 28 stolen vehicles; five held

Thane, Sep 12 (PTI) The Thane police have busted a gang involved in vehicle theft by arresting five persons and recovered 28 bikes and cars, an official said on Friday.

The breakthrough has also led to the detection of 26 vehicle theft cases, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime) Amarsingh Jadhav.

The gang had stolen vehicles from several places in Thane city and district, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, he said. PTI COR NR
