Three dead, two injured in road accident in MP's Jabalpur

Jabalpur, Jul 3 (PTI) Three persons were killed and two injured in a collision between a multi-axle truck a and mini truck in Jabalpur city of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday, police said.

The accident took place around 3.30 pm near Gour Chowki under Barela police station limits, they said.

"A 12-wheeler truck and a mini truck collided head on, trapping some persons inside the smaller vehicle. The impact of the collision was such that the two vehicles got entangled and gas cutters had to be used to separate them," the official said.

Talking to PTI Videos, Additional Superintendent of Police Suryakant Sharma said while three persons died in the accident, two suffered grievous injuries and were admitted to a local hospital.

Their condition is said to be serious, he said.

A case has been registered against the driver of the multi-axle truck, Sharma said, adding that investigation was underway. PTI COR MAS NP
