Wardha (Maharashtra), Jun 26 (PTI) The disaster management and fire brigade personnel on Thursday rescued three persons, including a student, stranded in a crematorium which got severely waterlogged after heavy rains in Maharashtra's Wardha district, officials said.
The area at Digdoh village in Devli taluka of Wardha witnessed flooding due to heavy showers since early morning.
A school student and two other youth got stuck at a cement structure in the crematorium at around 12.30 pm, district disaster response management officer Shubham Ghorpade told PTI.
A team of fire brigade and disaster management personnel reached the spot after being alerted and later rescued the three persons, he said. PTI COR CLS NR
