Two men steal jewellery from shop in Meerut, arrested within 24 hours in Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 11 (PTI) Police arrested two members of a gang within 24 hours after they allegedly stole gold and silver jewellery of Rs 57.46 lakh from a shop in Meerut and fled to Mumbai, officials said on Monday.

After receiving specific information about the role of Saurabh Sathe (21) and Mohan Pawar (24) in the theft committed at the jewellers shop, police arrested them in Borivali, a crime branch official said.

The stolen booty has been recovered from them, he added. PTI DC NSK
