25-year-old Mehak and Pari booked for posting obscene videos on Instagram in UP's Sambhal

Sambhal: Two women here have been booked for posting obscene videos on social media platform Instagram, a police official said on Monday.

The accused have been identified as Mehak and Pari, both aged 25 years and residents of Shahwajpur Kala village under Asmoli police station limits in Sambhal district.

According to Asmoli Circle Officer Kuldeep Kumar, police received information that the two women have been posting obscene and indecent videos on Instagram.

The women were warned, but they continued to upload vulgar reels and ignored instructions to remove the earlier videos, Kumar said.

He said that a case was registered against the women on Sunday evening under Section 296 B (singing, reciting or uttering any obscene song, ballad or words, in or near any public place) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act.
