Two youths drown in Una

Una (HP), June 22(PTI) Two youths drowned in the Sutlej river here, police said on Sunday.

The incident took place on Saturday evening when one of the youths went to take a bath in the river. He could not gauge the strong flow of water and started drowning. Seeing this, another youth went to save him but also got drowned.

Divers have recovered one body and search is on for the other.

The two were identified as Ritansh Bali, a resident of village Kalsehda, and Vikas Sharma, a resident of Ludhiana.

In another accident, a youth died after falling off an iron platform here. The accident took place on Saturday at Vardhman Steel Industry in Haroli area of the district. He was immediately taken to a hospital where he died during treatment. PTI COR BPL DV DV
