New Delhi: UNDP India has announced a strategic partnership with a talent agency to elevate youth engagement in advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The collaboration with Collective Artists Network, India aims to harness the influence of media, entertainment, digital platforms, and youth-driven culture to ignite impactful conversations around critical global issues from climate action and gender equality to poverty alleviation and inclusive growth, UNDP India said in a statement on Tuesday.
By mobilising the voices of young content creators, musicians, actors, athletes, and artists, the initiative aims to build a powerful youth-led movement in support of the SDGs — the global blueprint for a more equitable, sustainable, and peaceful world by 2030, the statement said.
Dr Angela Lusigi, Resident Representative, UNDP India said, "India's youth are not just dreaming of change—they are driving it. From advancing climate solutions to championing equality and inclusivity, their leadership is shaping our future.
"This partnership with Collective Artists Network amplifies these efforts, mobilising changemakers and inspiring action across the nation to make sustainable development a reality for all," she said.
The first collaboration under this initiative featured a three-part digital docuseries produced with Under 25, one of India’s largest student communities. Highlighting the stories of young changemakers, the series reached millions online and featured actor Sanjana Sanghi, a designated UNDP India Youth Champion.
Actor Bhumi Pednekar, UNDP India National Advocate for the SDGs, emphasised the initiative’s relevance: “This is a game-changing moment. Today’s youth are informed, passionate, and committed to building a better world. Through this partnership, we are creating a platform where their vision and energy can drive sustainable action and impact at scale.”
“At Collective, we believe storytelling is a powerful tool to drive real change. Partnering with UNDP allows us to channel the voice and influence of India’s youth toward causes that support building a future rooted in purpose, equity, and sustainability,” said Dhruv Chitgopekar, Co-founder, Collective Artists Network.
