Unidentified man's body found at construction site in Thane

Thane, Jun 25 (PTI) The body of an unidentified man was found in a water pit at a construction site in Maharashtra's Thane city on Wednesday, civic officials said.

Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said their control room received a call at 13.46 pm about the body spotted in a water-filled pit at the construction site in Wagle Estate area.

Local police and the regional disaster management cell team rushed to the spot and fished out the body of the man, believed to be aged around 35, he said.

The body was sent to a government hospital for postmortem and a probe was on into the matter, he added. PTI COR GK
