UP: 55 year old man dies in road accident in Deoria

Deoria (UP), Jul 15 (PTI) A 55-year-old labourer was killed while returning home from work when an unknown vehicle hit him near Deoria district's Kotwali area, a police official said on Tuesday.

Indradev, a resident of Ranighat village, was run over around 10 pm on Monday night.

Locals informed the police and his family and rushed the critically injured Indradev around 1 am to the Maharishi Devraha Baba Medical College where doctors declared him dead, according to the police.

SHO of Kotwali police station Durgesh Kumar Singh said the body of the deceased has been sent for a postmortem examination and efforts are on to nab the unknown vehicle and its driver. PTI COR NAV SHS SHS MIN MIN
