The Doge is a Shiba Inu dog meme, which is also the logo of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency that was created in 2013.

Elon Musk has been making a lot of changes at the social media giant since he took over the company last October. This is the latest change he made to the platform.

Why Musk replaced the icon?

Musk is a stringent supporter of Dogecoin; thus, he even once noted that Tesla accepted Dogecoin as payment for merchandise and confirmed that SpaceX would also do the same. As per Bloomberg, Dogecoin rose by 30 per cent after the picture of the doge meme appeared on the platform.

One of his tweets shows the face of the 'Doge' meme driving a car while a police officer checking the driving license which displays the 'old' blue bird logo. The Doge tells the cop "that's an old photo".
