Twitter starts sharing ad revenue with creators

New Delhi: Twitter owner Elon Musk Friday announced that Twitter will start sharing ad revenue with creators starting today.

“Starting today, Twitter will share ad revenue with creators for ads that appear in their reply threads,” Musk wrote.

Talking about the eligibility, Musk said that Twitter Blue Tick subscriber will be only be eligible for revenue sharing.

Musk has on several occasions said that he would soon introduce ad revenue sharing with creators.

Musk also hinted in November that Twitter would surpass YouTube's rate of paying creators 55% of total ad revenue from their videos. 

"We can beat that," Musk had tweeted.
